The LANACare Wool Diaper Cover is made of pure natural wool that has not gone through any harsh chemical treatments. Those chemicals are
often what make people have an "allergic" reaction to wool. LANACare Wool Diaper Covers have natural lanolin in the wool fibers so when urine is wicked into the cover it neutralizes the ammonia in
the urine. That ammonia is what causes your baby's bottom to get red. A chemical reactions happens when the urine comes in contact with the lanolin in the wool. This reaction creates lanolin-soap
that has an antibacterial effect and removes the urine smell.
After using the LANACare Wool Diaper Cover for about a week, you will begin to notice a urine smell. That means that the lanolin has been used up and it is time to
clean and lanolize your cover. To do this, wash it by hand in lukewarm water with a lanolin soap. Let is soak for 15 minutes, then rinse and roll in a towel to squeeze out excess water.
Stretch to shape it and lay it over a mild heat source (on top of the dryer or a radiator) to dry. Never put it in the dryer!!
The Medium and Large LANACare Wool Diaper Covers have an adjustable waist. There is a small opening in the outer seam of the waistband so you can get to the elastic band with
button and buttonholes. Here you can adjust the waist for a perfect fit!
