Diaper Creams

Diaper Creams are used to keep your baby's bottom soft and rash free.

If your baby gets a diaper rash, please try to find the reason behind the rash. Although diaper rashes are not "normal" they are very common. When using cloth diapers, you must consider the type of diaper rash cream you will use because some creams and ointments leave a residue that acts as a barrier on the cloth so it is not as absorbent as it should be. The diaper creams and ointments sold on Diaper Safari have been specially made to use with cloth diapers and are considered "safe" to use with them.

If you must use a baby diaper rash cream that may not be safe to use with cloth diapers, a liner can be used. The liner lays on top of the inside of the diaper between the baby's skin with rash cream and the cloth of the diaper, so it protects the diaper from the water repelling properties of the diaper rash ointment or cream.
